The Mobility Center of Excellence (MCoE) newsletter highlights our recent partnerships and accomplishments. This edition includes important updates regarding MobileIron, Android SDK, and KPConsumerAuth Library. Also included are the latest KP Mobile release notes, KP Digital re-org announcements, a newly available accessibility resource. Finally, join us in welcoming three new team members to our team!


KP Mobile 4.36 Release is Live


Our flagship app, KP Mobile now has over 8 million downloads, a 4.2-star rating, and a new release (4.36)! Learn about the latests features such as COVID immunization records, performance enhancements, and many new features to help our members manage their prescription in the app!


Update on MobileIron Sunset

The MobileIron app store has served us well, but it will no longer be supported as of August 1, 2021. New app submissions and updates will no longer be supported on MobileIron after June 30th.


KP Digital Restructuring and the MCoE


Our user experience team has moved out of the MCoE as part of the recent KP Digital restructuring. Find out what it means for services and KP Digital.


MDK’s KPConsumerAuth 4.0 Update


The initial KPConsumerAuth 4.0 Beta library has been released making it easier for app development teams to integrate this functionality. Find everything you need to get started including links to all the great resources like code repositories, documentation, and guides.

MCoE Reporting: Mobile App Portfolio

Did you know the MCoE helps KP teams develop, design, and deploy mobile apps? Our team of experts provide app kits and advice for dozens of custom mobile apps and hundreds of white-label and third-party mobile apps for our Members, Providers, and Workforce. Access our suite of reports – updated monthly – which include mobile app team and region info, install counts, and certified apps in production.

Everyone at KP is responsible for ensuring our mobile apps are accessible and inclusive. Using the new WCAG 2.1 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) published in June 2018, we’ve applied a mobile perspective to these standards and created mobile accessibility resources for our partners.
