Digital Accessibility Program Presents Screen Reader Testing Office Hours

January 2022: Article by Vita Zavoli, CPACC, Senior IT Accessibility Consultant

What will be covered during office hours

The Digital Accessibility Program, an MCoE partner, hosts an office hour each Wednesday from 8:10-9:00 am PST that focuses on using screen readers for testing, spot-checking, and understanding the user experience. We cover Job Access With Speech (JAWS) for web, VoiceOver for iOS, and TalkBack for Android.

Learn how KP members who experience vision loss or who have a reading disability use a screen reader to access their health care and perform digital tasks. Join and ask your questions related to testing, to learn how a screen reader works, or just to learn more from a live screen reader user. We will have demonstrations on how to use various screen reader features and explore different types of web sites and apps.

Get involved

To be added to the invite please write to accessibility-support@kp.org and ask to be added to Screen Reader Office Hours.
