MSSA Innovates 11th Annual Conference

Future forward
On January 20, 2022, the Marketing, Sales, Service & Administration (MSSA) Innovates team hosted their 11th annual innovation conference, featuring presentations from KP leaders (Arthur M. Southam, MD, Executive Vice President, Health Plan Operations, and Chief Growth Officer & Prat Vemana, Senior Vice President & Chief Digital Officer), and over 40 KP innovators and teams who presented their ideas in TED Talk style speeches on the “virtual” stage and in the “virtual” exhibit hall. The audience was also treated to two special guest presenters, Maggie De Pree who spoke about Intrapreneurship and the inspirational speaker, Hellah Sidibe, the first Black man to run across the United States. Both speakers enlightened the audience about how innovation is an important part of continually re-inventing oneself at work and in your personal life.
As in previous conferences, the MCoE participated by hosting an interactive booth in the “virtual” exhibit hall. The interactive booth used Miro, a cloud based application, that allowed attendees to view the MCoE core services, services offered through the certification process, and most importantly the national compliance requirements to have your native mobile apps certified before installing on KP mobile devices. We engaged with members of the MSSA Innovates community about future collaboration opportunities, shared experiences, and how we all strive to deliver top notch services and experiences to our members.
A virtual success
With the help of KP Multimedia, the event was live streamed to over 1300 KP Employees from across the organization. This was a 25% increase in attendance from the previous year. The virtual platform also gave attendees the ability to network and make connections reinforcing a OneKP value.
