Overview of 2020 and COVID-19 Impacts on MCoE
With 2020 finally behind us, the Mobility Center of Excellence (MCoE) would like to take a few minutes to reflect on COVID-19 impacts and related efforts during this exceptional year.
MCoE Engagement and Certification Year End Reports
The Mobility Center of Excellence finished the year with exceptional numbers. Two infographics capture our efforts for 2020 Q4 and all of 2020.
Attestation Passes the Test
Attestation station was created rapidly to meet an urgent need for Kaiser facilities to provide onsite screening for COVID-19 symptoms. It took a village and some quick maneuvering to pull it off, a great example of collaboration in work.
KP Washington Mobile App Navigates to Virtual Care
The Kaiser Permanente Washington mobile app now supports guided navigation to incorporate the “virtual first” care model. Feature descriptions and screenshots let you see how it is done.
How the KP Mobile App Stepped Up With Express Check-in
Express Check-In had already started working on new contactless check-in options prior the pandemic. KP Mobile was able to integrate features to rapidly respond the members new needs.

Did you know the MCoE helps KP teams develop, design, and deploy mobile apps? Our team of experts provide app kits and advice for dozens of custom mobile apps and hundreds of white-label and third-party mobile apps for our Members, Providers, and Workforce. Access our suite of reports – updated monthly – which include mobile app team and region info, install counts, and certified apps in production.

Everyone at KP is responsible for ensuring our mobile apps are accessible and inclusive. Using the new WCAG 2.1 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) published in June 2018, we’ve applied a mobile perspective to these standards and created mobile accessibility resources for our partners.
