Application and Technology Lifecycle Analysis System (ATLAS) is KP’s system of record for housing our application and technology standards data. It maintains an inventory of KP applications, information workflows, contacts, support, and compliance information. Think of it as a digital asset ID tag for applications.
Updated guidelines for obtaining a mobile application ATLAS ID
Updated guidance now exists concerning how and when to obtain an ATLAS ID for your mobile applications. In an ongoing effort to ensure that all appropriate apps are stored in KP’s system of record, here are some key factors to consider:
- Mobile applications serving a capability for KP must have an ATLAS ID.
- All high-risk, security or compliance-driven mobile applications must have an ATLAS ID.
- If there is a chance that the app can expose KP to security incidents, then an ATLAS ID is needed.
- If the mobile application connects to a KP network or internal system (examples: HealthConnect, OneLink), even with no sensitive data (PHI, PII), then an ATLAS ID is needed.
Obtaining an ATLAS-ID is a part of the app certification process. As per KP National Policy it is required to obtain MCoE Certification approval for the use of mobile applications on any KP issued devices. For more details and to submit an intake, visit the MCoE website. Your MCoE Engagement & Certification Managers will help guide you through the process early on in the mobile application intake process.
Please review the About ATLAS site for additional information and how to setup an ID.
