Branding Checklist

The following branding items will be checked during the UX/UI Certification gate. Any issues found on this list may result in possible Medium, Critical, or High Severity issues, possibly requiring fixes before an application can pass the gate. As a reminder, accessibility and usability issues are also checked in the UX/UI Certification gate. Therefore, having no issues from the list below does not guarantee passing the UX/UI Certification gate.

  1. Are your icons sourced from the KP Approved Icon Library?
    • Check: Review all icons in your application. Icons are required to be from the KP Approved Icon Library. If you cannot locate an icon needed, contact the Brand team or MCoE.
    • Primarily Benefits: Consistency, KP Image
    • Requirement: KP Policy
  2. Are you using the correct KP Logo?
    • Check: Review all instances of the KP Logo. Logos are required to follow guidelines and structure. Mobile version of the KP Logo are required to be horizontal.

  3. Is there a KP Logo on your splash screen?
    • Check: All splash screens are required to include the horizontal KP Logo.
    • Primarily Benefits: Branding Identification
    • Requirement: KP Policy
  4. Is there a KP Logo on your sign in screen?
    • Check: All sign in screens are strongly recommended to include a KP Logo secondary to app name.
    • Primarily Benefits: Branding Identification
    • Requirement: KP Policy
  5. Is this a mobile web application?
    • Check: If this is a mobile web application, the KP logo is required on ALL screens.
    • Primarily Benefits: Branding Identification
    • Requirement: KP Policy
  6. Are you using KP approved images?
    • Check: Review all images on your application. Images are required to be from the KP Approved Image Gallery. If you cannot locate an image needed contact the Brand team or MCoE.

  7. Are you using system and brand typeface?
    • Check: Review all application font typeface. Android is required to be set to Roboto, iOS is required to be set to San Francisco and Windows is required to be set to Segoe.

  8. Is this a new application?
    • Check: If this is a new application remember that all application names require approval from the KP Brand Team

  9. Are you using KP branding colors?
    • Check: Applications are encouraged to stay within the KP Color Palette.

    • Requirement: KP Policy
  10. Do you need a launch icon?
    • Check: If this application needs a launch icon it is required to adhere to Brand Architecture Guidelines
